of this villa-hotel is really original:
R.C. Longworth wrote on the Chicago Tribune "the
usual reaction to Villa Villoresi is that, it's jest like being in someone's home.
Which is accurate enough if your idea of a home is a 800-year-old palazzo in the
outskirts of Florence, with frescoes on the bedroom walls and olive trees beside
the swimming pool in the garden. Along with the sense of history goes a sense
of family ,the Villoresis, a noble Toscan family, owned the villa from over 200
years and have run it as a hotel in the last 30. They still live there and treat
their tourist more as guest than as customers"
